Great to see you all today! All the napkins we jotted notes on are gone (composting documents is the new shredding) but let's see what I remember.
- James is considering a database upgrade, as Artemis' storage is reaching 200GB. Way to go, calm feed reader!
- Fran has moved his bookmarks into a self-hosted Linkding. Everything is stored in an SQLite database, which is easy to read and include in his website
- Colin has published four articles in the past months (including a full tutorial to emulate a Commodore PET in hardware š±)
- Andy is considering hosting his website at home, needs to get the firewall to agree first.
- Rishav joined us today, and showed us his fresh website with a neat CSS frosted glass effect. More to come, I'm sure!
- We chatted about responses on the web, and host blog posts are likely to receive 'nicer' interaction than anything you can read on social media. James suggests starting welcoming emails though: no technical requirements, few but high quality responses.
- Accessibility, typing braille on iOS, text-only browsers (e.g., Links)
And I'm sure there was more, do add to the thread!
We also scheduled the next meet-up for the 16th of December, a bit earlier than usual. Save the date!
