After years of trying markdown editor after markdown editor, I have recently settled on Obsidian. While by design it's far more than an editor, it shines in that role. Since I use it to write most of my notes and articles, I've started to wonder: could I use it as a content management system? How far could I stretch the idea?
One the best things about Obsidian is that it saves all content as perfectly normal text files and images. It also comes with a number of plugins to update a Git repository — which is what I use to version and deploy my website.
I'll poke this idea at the next Edinburgh HWC—the first in a looooong time, thanks go to @capjamesg for organising it! There are some interesting questions about page layout, and serving images of the right dimensions 🤔
Has anyone gone in a similar direction?
